You can build a house right and still leave it empty. A finished frame, square to every line — and bare. Building is not the end. It is the start. Now you have to fill it. And here is the thing about an empty room: it does not stay empty. The only question is whether you fill it — or the world does.
The foundation is Christ, and it holds. But a foundation is not a house. The life you build on top of it still matters — and the storm will tell whether you built by the design or by the world.
Moody said there's no bridge between the flesh and the Spirit. Two fields, two harvests, no crossing. So we built one anyway and called it the gray — and the divided life we live out on it isn't only a spiritual problem. It's the birthplace of what we call a mental health crisis.
The danger was never the brightness. The danger was forgetting where the light came from.
The gray is not the safe place. It is where compromise learns to sound reasonable, where double-mindedness takes root, and where peace quietly begins to disappear.
I never fully connected with the word recovery. Not because healing is not real, but because I was never trying to go back to the version of myself that helped create the problem. This is why remission became the more honest word for my story.
